Hampton Inn & Suites Orangeburg

First of all, DAVID at the front desk was amazing! Check in with him was so quick, and easy, and he was beyond sweet, upbeat and informative. Through our whole stay he was a ray of sunshine, always the biggest smile and kind words! It was so refreshing, especially since we were there for a funeral, it was nice to have such a positive energy around. I work in hospitality and know how hard it can be to stay positive, but he has it mastered! (Side note, his outfits were always fabulous). The king room with the pullout couch was perfect for my husband and I, and our toddler. Plenty of room for him to run around and not have us stepping on top of eachother. The shower he'd in our room was messed up, but maintenance was there within minutes of our call to the front desk and had it replaced in no time. After that it worked great. All the ladies working breakfast were also amazing. Everything was fresh, clean, well stocked and tasty. Overall good experience and if we find ourselves staying in Orangeburg again, it will be here.

The stay at this hotel was terrible. My family and I just experienced a fire, and we lost everything including Christmas spirit. The employees stated that they were getting complaints about my kids being loud and disruptive. I have a seven year old boy, and 12 year old girl. An employee called while we was at work, and threatened to call our insurance company, and boast on how other customers are working hard and spending there money to be there. I feel like comparing your customers to one another is very bias, and disciplinary actions should have been enforced, because she hung the phone up in my face as I was trying to explain and defend those nasty complaints which never gave us any proof to how many or how long that occurred. We spoke with the General Manager, and ask him to give us his rude employee name so we could file a complaint. He was very unprofessional, because we ask for corporate number and he refused to give that as well. He act as if he had no concern to our complaint, so he did not conduct his job title well. The owner going to respond back with a backlash concerning my review, we got audio recordings of some things that was said to us, our attorney going to love this case! You talking about somebody kids, and deformation of character. I will see you all in court!

The staff, the staff, the staff! David at check in was able to calm me down after a horrible experience at spring hill suites. He was accommodating and polite. He even showed empathy for what another property did! Johna Lea the breakfast staff was also excellent in customer service. The breakfast spread was fresh, hot and they served turkey sausage! I cant say enough positive things about these two staff members I encountered. Job well done! And the rooms are big and clean!
